Organizational Structure or Other Change

There are other actions reflected in the Review and Approval Workflow not detailed on this web site that require compliance with institutional, state, federal, and accreditation policies.  These include:

  • Creating a new academic department, center, or institute
  • Dual degree program agreements with another university not accredited by SACSCOC
  • Internal agreements between UVA schools on academic partnerships
  • Initiating programs or courses offered through contractual agreement or consortium
  • Creating an articulation agreement with another institution that stipulates transfer of academic credit

In addition, other issues may surface regarding the academic management of a program not described in the review and approval workflow.
