National Student Clearinghouse

The National Student Clearinghouse is a non-profit and non-governmental organization whose mission is to "facilitate the exchange and understanding of student enrollment, performance and related information" by providing "educational reporting, data exchange, verification, and research services" to its over 3,600 participating institutions. These insitutions, including UVA, submit student enrollment data, including demographics, major, enrollment status, and school, to the Clearinghouse, which then provides degree and enrollment verification services, transcript services, and longitudinal research on, for example, student enrollment, attrition, and completion.
