What You Need to Know
The Undergraduate SERU (Student Experience in the Research University) survey is a biennial census survey administered to all degree-seeking undergraduates, covering topics ranging from academic skills and global engagement to civic and financial considerations. Third- and fourth-year students are asked to identify their major and provide detailed feedback on areas such as advising, learning opportunities, degree requirements, and overall satisfaction. Students receive up to five communications encouraging participation, though the survey remains voluntary with an opt-out option. To boost response rates, participants are entered into a lottery for one of 200 $25 gift certificates to a retailer of their choice.
