Every 10 years, the University undergoes an extensive reaffirmation process according to the guidelines and principles established by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The University completed its most recent reaffirmation in 2017. SACSCOC publishes its accrediting standards in Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement, last revised December 2017 and effective January 1, 2018.
